We run our own production of fruit trees on the farm in Dąbie in Podkarpacie — from our own rootstock stool beds and our own scion orchard, with budding carried out on site. Retail and wholesale for fruit growers, garden centres and nurseries.

Where our material comes from

When you buy a tree, two things matter most: which mother tree the scion came from, and which rootstock it was budded onto. They determine trueness to variety, vigour, and when the tree will come into bearing.

We keep our own rootstock stool beds and our own scion orchard, and we do the budding on the farm. That is why, with our material, we can answer both of those questions specifically rather than in general terms.

How our trees are produced — the growing cycle

1. Our own rootstock stool beds. We take the certified vegetative rootstocks for the trees we produce from our own stool beds. This is the first point at which the vigour and health of the future tree are decided.
2. Our own scion orchard. We maintain mother trees of confirmed varietal identity, from which we take buds of the named varieties and scions for grafting. Scions are cut during dormancy — in winter and early spring.
3. Budding. We do it on the farm, on rootstock material prepared beforehand. That way we know exactly which mother tree the bud on each tree came from. Grafting is done to order — after the variety and rootstock have been agreed.
4. Growing on in the field. We grow the maidens through a full season — feeding, plant protection, training. The trees grow in Podkarpacie, in the same climate in which they will later fruit. We use equipment made specifically for nursery material.
5. Lifting and handover. We supply the trees bare-root, made up for the agreed collection date.

Species in production

We produce fruit trees of eight species, in varieties proven in the conditions of south-eastern Poland. We specialise in fruit trees only. The rootstock is matched to the species, the soil and the intended vigour of the tree — for apples we have four to choose from, from the dwarfing M9 to the medium-vigour M7.

Wholesale — who it is for and on what terms

We supply wholesale material mainly to:

• fruit growers establishing or replanting commercial orchards,
• garden centres and shops with seasonal tree sales,
• other nurseries filling gaps in their range of species and varieties,
• municipalities, cooperatives and agritourism farms for group plantings.

Wholesale orders are quoted individually — the price depends on the species, variety, rootstock, age of the material and the size of the order. For larger batches we agree a collection schedule and transport. The details are set out in our terms of cooperation.

Orders for the autumn season are best placed from September, and for the spring season from January. The most sought-after varieties and rootstocks sell out first, and for commercial plantings what counts is the availability of the whole planned batch, not individual trees.

Do the trees come with documents confirming their origin?

The scope of documentation is agreed when the order is placed — it depends on the type of material and the size of the batch. Please contact us by phone.

When can the material be collected?

The farm is open all year round and material can be collected at a convenient time — we only ask for a phone call in advance so that we have time to prepare the order.
